
Julia discovered yoga after stumbling upon a small studio in Boston. Her practice has since evolved from pure asana to a much deeper, richer experience on the mat. Julia began to attend classes regularly, discovering that philosophical ties could be drawn between yogic worldview and her everyday approach towards life.
Julia's classes blend alignment principles with a thoughtful, compassionate element that allows practitioners to honor their physical abilities and boundaries. She emphasizes mindfulness in every aspect of her practice, including transitional poses and sustained postures.
Off her mat, Julia teaches literature in the academic arena. She likes to incorporate literature and yoga into most everything, making connections along the way. Julia is certified through YogaWorks and continues to develop her practice through workshops and retreats.
